What customers say?

“ In the heart of Davie Village, Hestia Veggie is one of Vancouver’s best all-vegan restaurants. SO cute. It’s not fancy, but you go there for the food ~ and wow, is it flavourful. There are so many amazing dishes to try, the hardest part is deciding where to start. My personal fave is the Crispy Duck with Pancakes, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of their dishes, so just go with what speaks to you. Other standouts include the Spring Rolls and the Deep Fried King Oysters. The Miso Udon Truffle Carbonara is a bit messy but super tasty (and I’m a picky Italian!). There’s no wine, just a few beers, and a dessert menu I’ve yet to properly dive into. Another thing absolutely worth mentioning is the staff ~ super amazing, especially Hestia’s Mamma Server. I love when she calls me “my friend” and my dates “boss,” she was incredibly kind to my mother when she was visiting, making her time there unforgettable (my mom still asks about her!). Oh and make sure to ask for the tri-chilli toppers/suaces ~ fair warning, they’re spicy!! The chilli-garlic one is kind of sweet and my fave. ”

“ If you’re Vegan, welcome to tastebud town. I had the dumplings and duck pancake wraps. Dumplings were delicate with a little zing. Melt in your mouth. Duck Wraps were a tofu mushroom base meat with a crunchy texture and soft in the middle. BIG flavour! The served was awesome. Vibrant and fun. Worth a visit. ”

“ We visited The Hestia Veggie for dinner and travelled from Langley because we were excited to try a place that offers pure vegetarian and vegan options. The ambiance is nice, and our server was very polite, which made us feel welcome. We tried their Curry Lasaka a soup, and it was absolutely delicious — we really enjoyed it. The lemongrass “chicken” clay pot was also flavourful and enjoyable. However, the spicy crispy cauliflower didn’t meet our expectations, and we didn’t enjoy it. The Vietnamese coconut coffee was also disappointing — it had too much ice and tasted more like iced black coffee or espresso, so it wasn’t enjoyable for us. The only major concern was noticing a couple of food flies around the table and even on the food, which needs immediate attention for a better dining experience. Overall, great vegetarian options and good flavours, but a few improvements would make the visit much better. ”
